The flow of tourists to Paris does not recognize seasons. People opt for this wonderful city of lights no matter what the weather is, no matter how much snow or rain there is, no matter anything. Paris has it all for tourists, and perhaps that is the reason that irrespective of the time of year, Paris has come to be the city of tourists than the city of Paris people. I believe this fact annoys the latter. With the great number of things to do in Paris and things to admire in this majestic city, there are several things to do that will make your explorations even more amazing and memorable.

The Majestic Bridges

The Seine River is the symbol of liveliness of Paris. The river flows in the city creating timeless feelings and emotions for Paris visitors. The river has many bridges on it. And visitors will hardly be able to cross them all, especially if they have tight schedules and time, say, 48 hours to spend in this city.

Thus we suggest the following – Pont des Arts, more widely known as the lover’s bridge, if you are traveling with your loved one or are in love. The bridge is the silent witness of so many loves. The proof is the number of the padlocks on it. Don’t miss this part! Make sure to prepare your padlock beforehand, as several years down the road, it will be indescribably awesome to go back to he bridge and find you padlock, featuring your names.

The other bridge which will simply leave you speechless is Pont Alexandre III. This bridge will stun you with its greatness. It stands for Russian-French friendship. The first stone was laid in 1896 by Russian Tsar Nicholas II and was named Alexander III after his father.

Climb to the Top of the Notre-Dame

The Notre-Dame Cathedral is regarded as one of the top destinations in Paris. This cathedral is mentioned on everyone’s list but one thing to consider is that the cathedral we expect to see is not inside but outside. What I mean by this is, that most foreign visitors choose to visit the Cathedral because of “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame” by Victor Hugo. Sometimes we even consciously or subconsciously are looking for Quasimodo! Nevertheless, nothing inside the church hints at the novel, at the scenes so well recorded in our memory.

That is why – climb to the top. It’s where you will feel the spirit of the novel, the famous characters form the novel and although in the end you will not find Quasimodo there, you will surely feel his presence in the wind blowing around the cathedral. Other than that, climbing to the top will also provide a great chance for you to see the entire Paris in front of you. Many people choose to climb the Eiffel Tower to have the city lie in front of them, whereas from here is the best. Those who have tried both will agree surely.

Jardin des Tuileries Paris

In the background of world-known Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, Musee d’Orsay and so on, Jardin des Tuileries usually are slightly neglected, not because they are not worth it, but rather because people choose the places with which Paris is directly associated. Say Paris, and apparently Jardin des Tuileries Paris will not occur to you in the first place. It perhaps has to do with the branding strategy.

Whataver it is, Jardin des Tuileries Paris is an excellent place for people wishing to now only visit Paris monuments and the popular museums, but also want to enjoy a piece of entertainment. Jardin des Tuileries is located between Place de la Concord and the Louvre Museum. It was built in the 16th century by Catherine de Médici in the 16th century. It is noteworthy, that in the past this garden was the royal garden of the old Tuileries Palace.

The garden is not only a great place to relax and have a picnic, but it also grants an opportunity to learn more about Paris – there are several sculptures by Rodin, Henry Moore and Alberto Giacometti as well as two museums. There are also several nice restaurants but you are also welcome to take your own food with you.
